My Finished Afghan
Yeppers...... I finally, after 4 months finished my afghan! My first knit piece and I have got to tell you, I don't think I will be knitting any large pieces anytime soon. Although I like how knit pieces look, crocheting just seems to be more my thing when it comes to yarn.

Running
For a few years now I have always envied those who ran. Runners usually are healthy, lean and fit. I want that to be me and twice this week it has been. Twice in the past four days I have gotten on the treadmill and ran a mile without stopping. Granted, it was not at a fast pace and a mile probably seems like a warm up to those of you who are runners, but I am so happy with myself that I kept up with it and if time wasn't an issue I probably would have kept on going, something just seemed to click and I didnt want to stop.
So, for now, I am more than happy with my mile!

A Few Things I Have Been Thinking About Lately
Staying cozy and warm........
Falling leaves. Good coffee
Crocheting, knitting and big buttons.
Pottery class.
Getting time to paint again.
Hopefully I will be getting into a schedule 'groove' soon. Although, I can be a schedule person I cannot say I am groovy;)...So, I think it is going to take a couple weeks to work out the kinks:).
BTW...
Last week I finally got an iPhone:) I am not a technology geek. New things come out that everyone has and I'm still debating if i want it and saving up my money. Even so, I've been wanting one of these for a while and my old phone was dying on me. I finally took the plunge and I LOVE it:).

Knit One Purl Wha?
I can still remember my Grandma's cylinder shaped knitting case with blue flowers on the outside , probably from the 70's(at least thats what I remember it as). I always loved going into the TV room closet and looking at all the different color and shaped knitting needles. My Grandma taught me how to crochet when I was pretty young, but after many pitiful tries over the years I never did learn how to knit.
I love the ones with the little faces!
I don't know what happened to all my Grams needles, but I have since started my own collection. I have always been drawn to them when i would see them even before i knew how to knit.

Here Goes Nothin....
Its Back to school time for my two lil men and after a lot of procrastination, I am ready to get my Esty store stocked and a lot of new projects started.
One Thing I have wanted to do for a long time is start a blog. I am sure I will look back and cringe at my grammar and spelling, but it will be a fun way to journal this time in my life and keep everyone updated in whats going on in my little corner of the world. I am hoping to share photos, inspiration and things that make me happy. Who knows what is blog will slowly become.
Here goes nothing...
